Oregon

In March we took a quick trip to Oregon to visit my Grandma Edna. We were there for about 3 days and we absolutely loved it! We can't wait to go back. Next time we will head to the coast. We spent a couple hours in Portland when we first got there. We got to see the Portland temple and go to the Visitors Center there. The temple was stunning! All of the flowers were starting to bloom and it smelled wonderful. Then we got to visit my friend Claudia who I met in hair school. Her little family is so cute!
We headed towards Lebanon where my Grandma and my aunt LaDawn and uncle Dennis live. It's about an hour and a half south of Portland. We didn't expect it to be such a tiny little town! They gave us basic directions and told us to meet them at Grampa's Grocery. Our aunt and uncle live in an adorable neighborhood and they let us sleep in their "Motor Home Hotel" which turned out to be really really fun! Aunt LaDawn spoiled us while we were there. She treated us so good! We got to have lots of really good talks with them.
Seeing my Grandma was such a great experience and definitely different than I expected. I hadn't seen her since my wedding day and before that I think I was probably 13 or so. We had a lot of catching up to do. She is such a great woman! So kind and so humble, but also has a little sass! We brought her flowers and took her to lunch and just spent time at her place talking about her cat. I loved it!
We were really lucky that it didn't rain at all while we were there! We loved Oregon and will definitely be visiting again!

  1. Sounds like a great trip! Yeah, it turns out that because Grandma moved back to Oregon we see her a lot less. :(
