My Kind of Day.

Today was a great day.
My morning started out in Bountiful with my friend, Kearra. Plato's Closet was having a Grab Bag Sale.
The deal was everything you can stuff in your bag for 10 bucks!!
Perfect. Gently used name brand clothing, ideal wear for a newly-ish wed. Great for a girl who works in an office. I haven't been clothes shopping for quite some time. I like clothes, but I don't like shopping for them. Stresses me out! My last pair of shorts (cut-offs I made from old pants I've had since I was 14..) ripped while we were in Ecuador. Time to get some new stuff. Even if it's not BRAND new, it still is new to me :)
Anyway, the line looked something like this...
We were about in the middle of the line. Not too shabby. After pushing and grabbing anything that looked remotely cute, I came out with quite a good stash of stuffs. I spent $10.66 and saved a little over $76!!!!
I'm no Savings Queen, but I'm still pretty pleased with myself.
I stuffed a lot of shirts in there. Mostly for me, and some for Hema. There wasn't a lot of Mens clothing there.
Yay for stuff!

Next wonderful thing..

Date night with the hubs.

Like our drumstick wands? I do.
We do everything together, and spend tons of time together, but it's just more exciting if you label it as a "date". We haven't gone on a real date with just us for some time.
First, we caught the 3:30 matinee of HARRY POTTER!!
It was freaking amazing. We loved it, and we can't stop talking about it. At one point in the movie, I thought I might pass out if I didn't start breathing right. I really liked it that much. Hema shifted in his seat and kicked his legs around the whole time as if he was 8, it was adorable.

I put on my Gryffindor scarf left over from our Halloween costumes. (Hema dressed as Snape, it was hilarious.)
And I wore my "Hedwig" earrings.

Ok, I know they don't look like Hedwig. But I call them that anyway. Oh, and Hema got those sunglasses for me, I guess they had been in the lost and found at his work and they were going to throw them away. Lucky me!

After the movie we went to this fish and chips restaurant by our house. THE MOST cheesy looking restaurant you'd probably ever see. We loved it.
We took our food to go and went to one of our favorite parks that is right by our house.
The park is so beautiful. There are tons of trees, streams, and a canal that runs through it. And it has a really cool pavilion.  It's a Frisbee Golf park, so there's always people there. We love hanging out there with our doggy. He sure loves it too!

We got home around 8, which is rare, and did whatever we wanted. Hema tickled my back and we talked about life (and Harry Potter). Basically, we did nothing. Which is really nice sometimes, especially after a busy week.

So yes. This was my kind of day. Supa fun. I love my little family!!!

P.S. My husband shared this poem with me today, and I really like it.

P R I O R I T I E S

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.

Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't
granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings.   Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.

Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.

You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to
make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy in life.
God said
No.
I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as God
loves me.
God said... Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

Stop telling God how big your storm is.
Instead
tell your storm how big your GOD is.
